David Katz, chairman and portfolio manager at Matrix Asset Advisors, says Apple, a company he does not own, faces an ever big challenge of having to reinvent itself every 12 to 18 months with a new round of updated iPhones, and other products; he recommends holding on to the stock if you own it, but not adding to your position. He owns both Coca Cola and McDonalds, both of which missed on their second quarter earnings reports because while they are clearly going through difficult periods now, there long-term prospects are bright.
