29 Mar 2016 Berkshire's increased stake in Wells Fargo is only due to the bank's share repurchases ( Portfolio )

Despite media reports, the latest Berkshire SEC filing indicates the same no. of shares of Wells Fargo owned as previously reported. Berkshire hasn't in fact been adding to it's WFC stake since the beginning of the year. The ownership percentage increase to 10% is only due to Wells Fargo's share buybacks in January this year (as per 10K). As an aside, included in the 10% figure, are 2 million shares of WFC owned personally by Warren Buffett himself.
